During the latter part of May, Evangelist Alton Beal visited
Cornerstone Baptist Church for a week of special meetings
. . We were greatly encouraged and edified by his preaching
of God's Word, Joyful singing and wonderful attention to the

spiritual state of our congregation . . information about

Alton Beal follows:

 

Alton Beal was born into drunkard's home near Yadkinville,
NC.  Aside from occasional church attendance, in the early
years of his life, he had few Christian influences.

Around the age of ten, he began riding a van to church on

Sunday mornings. Two years later, he accepted Christ as

his Savior in his bedroom while reading a Gospel tract.

At the age of fifteen, Alton surrendered his life to the Lord

during the invitation of a Neighborhood Bible Time Crusade.

Two years later, he sensed God's calling to the ministry. Upon graduating from a public high school in 1992, he enrolled at Ambassador Baptist College.

His call to evangelism was confirmed during his college years.
He traveled with several college musical groups as a vocalist

and preacher. After graduating with a BBS in Bible and

Evangelism in 1996, he was asked to join the staff at

Ambassador as a dormitory supervisor, and later became

the Dean of Men.  His experiences in the Dean of Students

Office have been a great asset in his ministry to young people.

While still faithful to his college responsibilities, Alton

launched into evangelism in 1998, and his preaching

opportunities have included revival/evangelistic campaigns,

Christian school meetings, and Christian camps. The Beals

serve as a family in their evangelistic meetings.

While Alton is preaching in the auditorium, his wife Michelle

conducts children's meetings.  Andrew and Jared help provide

special music with their father and are teaching their little sister

Karis how to sing. God has used Alton's outstanding tenor solo

voice to prepare the hearts of the listeners to receive his fervent, compassionate Bible messages.

While continuing his ministry in evangelism, Alton now serves as

the president of Ambassador Baptist College located in

Lattimore, NC.  ABC is a Bible college dedicated to training

young men and women for the work of the ministry.
